          Getting to the Decision Maker

We all know the way to get a signature on a service agreement is to talk to the person who makes the decisions about PC. But that's not always an easy task, especially when making face to face sales calls out in the field.  When prospecting for new customers there is a certain criteria that I believe is very important. I believe it can speed up the sale and save you time.

It's very important not to brush aside the initial contact person if they are not the ultimate decision maker. This could offend them and ruin your chances. Don't discount their influence.

Flattery will get you everywhere! Whether it's a stay at home mom or a restaurant manager, take time to strike up a positive conversation. Make it about them, not about you.  "Your roses are beautiful" or "My kids love your pizza" (whatever fits).

The path to the decision maker is often through the "gatekeeper". Let them know you care about the environment they live or work in.
Establishing this relationship will help you get critical information and should speed your path to the
ultimate decision maker.

Your contact may even champion your cause
to the decision maker for you!

To discuss these or other pest sales strategies, give us a call for a free pest sales tip Q & A session.

We're here to help and support the Pest Industry!
